[ Like in most situations, her anger has ebbed off over time. And befriending Laura has gone a long way to helping that process. ]

[ He's counting on that budding friendship, truth be told. Laura has zero inclination to trust an authority figure she doesn't like. ]

Is everything okay?

[ She can probably hear his sigh of relief, one he clips off at the end in lieu of her question. ]

Yeah, I'm fine.

[ More or less. ]

'Ro and I are gonna be out for a little while. Grown-up stuff.

[greyate]

[ Her concern shifts to rolling her eyes. Can you hear it in her tone, Logan? You should. ]

I'm an eighteen-year-old telepath, Logan. You don't have to use the phrase "grown-up stuff" with me.

It's a website for- you...don't know what a website is, never mind. It's like... think of a yellow pages, bundled with reviews and rankings.

I know what a website is. And the internet. I just... haven't had any experience with it.

[ Yet. ]

Sounds cool, though. Bet it saves people a lot of hassle.

[ She huffs a small tired sort of laugh, ]

I've been away from home for almost two years now. A lot of that was spent on a spaceship with people either from other universes or way into the future.

[ It was bound to come up at some point. ]

Two years? Y'know, this is the kind of stuff I miss hearing about when you're mad at me.

[ His tone is fairly light, all things considered. ]

[ She breathes out a laugh at the light tone but the apology does make her go silent for a moment. She's not going to admit to getting a little teary-eyed because she feels like that's all she been doing for weeks. ]

I know. I'm sorry I was... such a bitch.

[ Because she knows she was pretty shitty from the moment he got back. ]

I guess it was just a build up of things and... I took it out on you. I'm sorry, Logan.
