Pretty much anything can be practice equipment as long as you don't plan to blow it up. But yeah we get stuff specifically for training, too.

The first use of biotics I learned was how to tear things apart, so once in a while I do it by accident.

In his past, he's done a lot more harm than good. It sets people on edge, makes them worried he will do that again here and now.

so, since logan and rogue are from a future timeline, does that mean erik ended up ...?

I don't know. Logan and Rogue could be from a completely different future from ours so maybe? Maybe not. I want to believe Erik won't be like that after all that we went through together but this Erik right here and now hasn't experienced any of that yet.

He's been through a lot and I can feel a lot of anger and pain from him. I don't think he would risk bringing trouble down on us but I don't want anyone to push him, either.

well, you're definitely right about erik being with us, instead of off by himself somewhere. i may have meant well, but ... do you think there's anything that could be done to ease the tension?

Yeah. Close quarters on a ship with people I didn't know and in a crazy situation I didn't understand with no tangible way of getting home? It was pretty rough for a while.

[ And that's not even going into the other stuff that happened. ]

I don't know. There are people involved that don't trust Erik because of their experiences with him and Erik himself doesn't care about what other people think of him. I don't think there's much that can be done without the people involved making the effort themselves, you know?

[ Yeah she's been thinking about this stuff a bit too much since the day Erik arrived. It's a real downer all the way around. Which isn't even touching on Peter and Erik's connection... ]

yes, i suppose that's true. it can't all be one-sided and there are going to be other people that won't want to associate with erik at all, taking into account the pasts they might have with him.

[Another pause, as Kurt takes a moment to contemplate and to frown at the TAB in his hands; Jean's been going through so much and all he's done is message her to whine about his (what he's believing to be) mistake of bringing Erik to the mansion.]

Yeah, it's much better now that I have my friends with me. Also helps not to be cooped up on a ship.

It's hard not to when there's so much involved.

that's good. yes, of course. i never knew how ... privileged we were back on earth. it must be nice to be on a planet again.

[He hadn't gotten a chance to experience the Moira, but he can imagine how stifling it could get on the ship, no matter how big it was.]

♥ that's about as fancy as i can get on this right now, haha. we're friends, right? friends talk to each other when they're having trouble and offer comfort or advice, if need be.

[It's plenty long enough for Kurt to claim their friendship and they can always learn more about each other.]

so am i, jean. i'm also pleased that we have come from the same timeline. it makes things easier when someone else understands.

[It would be easier, in a way, if she could just follow Peter's lead and be mad at Jean. But Jean is so like her and the X-Men have given her a kind of home that even the Avengers couldn't match. She didn't feel so weird or out of place living with them and for the first time in years she'd been able to fully relax.

Perhaps it's selfish, but she doesn't want to lose it just as she was starting to rely on it.]
