[Clearly, Jean feels awful. They all do. And as much as Wanda would love if they could resolve this (somehow) and go back to their lives...that's not happening tonight.]

I've seen him in Peter's memories, but...there is also a sadness in a him. Loss. Like they are different people.

[And he hasn't gone on the rampage she'd expect from someone with that kind of fire in them. It doesn't make sense, and unlike with Peter she can't take what she knows of her own father and apply it to Erik.

Of course, she could also march over there and rummage through Erik's mind until something makes sense, but she also has enough awareness to know that would be a bad idea. And Wanda still feels massive amounts of guilt over what happened the last time she didn't get the full story.]

He's... complicated.

I trust him not to hurt us.

[It may not have been meant as a warning, but Wanda takes it as one. She wouldn't worry about Pietro running off to confront Erik on his own no matter how angry he was, but Peter...absolutely. He is more used to being the protector, to shouldering everything himself.

She sighs.]

I will try to keep Peter away from him if I can.

[For now, anyway. Until the initial shock and hurt and anger have subsided to something less volatile. Honestly, they could probably all use some space.]
